DEPARTMENT MANAGER
As a Department Manager for Fox & Hound Restaurant Group, you are responsible for all aspects of the operation and property owned or rented by Fox & Hound Restaurant Group. It is also expected that you and the operation will reflect a positive image of Fox & Hound Restaurant Group to our guest and community both on duty and in your personal life. 
 
Listed below are guidelines and responsibilities that as a Department Manager you are responsible for as a leadership figure. These guidelines and responsibilities are not all-inclusive of the day-to-day responsibilities of our Department Managers.
 
 
PEOPLE
  • To ensure that your unit is properly staffed; it is the responsibility of the all Department Managers to train and properly develop all employees
  • Maintain the proper number of employee’s to execute “stellar” service to our guest during each shift
  • Control hourly turnover
  • To ensure the proper training of all employees using the Company’s established programs
  •  Perform monthly evaluations on all staff
  • It is the responsibility of the Department Manager for the overall development of all employees and ensures that every guest receives the best products and service
 
OPERATIONS
  • To ensure compliance with all Company & State Health and Safety regulations
  • To comply with all State & Local Liquor regulations
  • Proper ordering of all merchandise to operate and execute the operation according to Company standards
  • Ensure prompt payment of purveyors and vendors weekly and monthly
  • Ensure all Company polices and procedures are adhered to by all employees
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through our Mission Statement “Quality is our Passion”
  • Maintaining a Productive Work Environment for all employees.
  • Ensure the overall security of your location
  • To maintain the overall cleanliness of the unit and its surrounding areas.
  • To counsel and hold accountable all employees who do not follow the Company’s policies and procedures by using philosophies of the OMM
  • Set a good example for all employees by being prompt and giving 100% for every shift
 
PROFIT
  • Consistent controls of food cost, labor cost, and all controllable to Company targets
  • Accurately enter weekly invoices into Inventory Express or Micros
  • Accurate reporting & counting of weekly inventory
  • Accuracy of nightly paperwork and nightly call in of numbers
  • Increase sales through approved LSM and established programs
  • Maintain a level of service and execution to ensure “stellar” guest satisfaction every night
  • Train staff to build sales through their performance, service and up selling

 

At least two-years, full-service restaurant management experience preferred.
